The 2019 mockbuster Monster Island by The Asylum was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is about an island called Monster Island. A monster could be found there, and who may then become part of the island, the Monster Island.


This movie is about an asylum. As such, it has a budget similar to a big kid's lunch and uses it wisely. The film focuses on a limited number of characters. It keeps the main stars of the movie on one set, so all their sequences can be shot during lunch breaks. Nevertheless, lest we forget, this is the kaiju genre, and, well, that is sort of how they go, so maybe Monster Island (2019) Asylum movie The Asylum won't do such an awful job with it.
